I guess that would come down to which country, if it was as big a player/payer as us say Germany, then I would have been very concerned about the impact/loss, France would also be an issue as it could restrict us trading with the rest of the EU should it shut up shop so I'd still want to be friends with these but if it was one of the lesser countries say Greece I’d say good riddance.

Negotiations, aka brinksmanship when both parties have plenty to lose or gain. When in these you let the opposition know you are prepared to walk away without a deal, a landslide election reinforces the hand you play with. Germany will poop itself if we reciprocated trade tariffs on the motor industry for example, fekk the Frogs the ones talking are career politicians of the worst kind. We pay our dues to NATO and global aid, unlike most of our EU partners, if you don't pay your 2% of GDP to NATO throw them out for a couple of the EU gobsheeites who are piping on about exit costs this would put them in a cage. With the right leader Europe will become what it should be and Corbyn or the lib dems represent the appeasement brigade awash with loony left and non producers who would sell us down the river.
