Mark Twain is credited with saying, "There are lies, damned lies and statistics."

The latest Opta SL Stats have some interesting revelations about our season so far:

Not surprising:

We have made more tackles, missed more tackles, made more errors, conceded more penalties, and yellow cards - than any other team. (obviously we have played one game more than many other teams)

Surprising:

We have made more clean breaks than Leeds, Hull, Wakefield, Catalans, Huddersfield, St Helens, Warrington and Widnes! :shock:
We have made more offloads than Salford, Wakefield, Catalans and Widnes! :shock:

We would also be top in the clean breaks not resulting in tries category.

I assumed that when I read how many clean breaks we have made - did any of them result in tries?

I wonder how many of those 'offloads' ended up in Leigh players' hands? :wink:
