Not sure AJ is particularly short of pace in the first instance, he was jogging at the side of Riddy when he went the length of the field v Hudds. I think he could surprise a few this season, but he is obviously stepping up a level

Defo geet a turn o' fleet feet. He first had to make up ground after Ridy's break then, yes he was treading water as he had pace to spare. As Bonger recalls he also protected Ridy with a subtle bit of obstruction when he realised that the latter was going alone.

No worries there. When he's fit he flies.

Having watched the middle 8's I'm confident on 2 things relevant to this thread.
1. A fit WT will be a force to be reckoned with in SL. He will score and creat many points.
2. AJ will take the SL by storm. I've long been impressed with his pace, size and sheer guts. He looks even stronger, and if he has retained his speed with that extra muscle, he will be a handful for any outside back/winger to cope with. Lots of tries and big hits to come.
