nobody from fc signed yet? unless whiting was that player? abdul was linked with a loan move seems but that seems to have gone quiet atm

League Express reporting today that Leigh are moaning about being unable to sign Ben Harrison from Wire, because of his £100k valuation ( ) for salary cap purposes. Presumably that's his value salary-wise? Although it seems a tad high to me!!

Isn't it because salary cap rules state, that if a player joins another club when is contract is still running (Ben still has 12 months left on his Wire contract), the club he is joining takes on the value of that contract against their salary, no matter what the new contract pays the player.

It sounds like it must be something like that C&W - surprised if Wire are paying him that though!

He was a big player for them a couple of seasons ago and NRL teams were sniffing around him.

Harrison has a testimonial in 2017 maybe if he moved he wanted the 'lost earnings' to be included in his salary at Leigh...?

He certainly won't be on anything near £100k per year.
