Leigh are a completely different Team this year and will weather the storm and win by around 12 -20 points.

Don't forget, Charlie, that in the last four months Leigh have only beaten Fev by 6 points and, more recently, by 4.

Half way time-wise between the Salford and Fev games, the euphoria is, for me, being gradually replaced by nervousness. I can't help worrying that my (posted) relief at having Rovers to face rather than the Bulls might come back to stick its incisors in my posterior!

Fev aren't out of this yet, if they beat all the Championship teams starting with us this Sunday they could make the MPG.

Glow , if my reckoning is right Fev have to play London and Batley away after us and I just can't see that happening, that's no disrespect to Fev,but although they will play with plenty of spirit and enthusiasm in the end our fitness and Class will see us through,in theory I agree Fev can make the MPG, but being realistic , there's more chance of my hair starting to grow back. :thumb:

Greetings BaB ,hope you are well?I realise Fev gave us 2 close games this season, but I have seen Fev play twice recently against Fax and although Fax are a very poor team at the moment Fev are not that much in front of Fax.
Don't get me wrong I like Fev, in fact I'm an Honary Flat Capper,I was given a flat cap by their Chairman Mark who I know well, but I'm not worried by Fev,I think it will be a close first quarter then Leigh will pull away,I'm not taking anything for granted but a Leigh win by 12 - 20 points is what expect.Charlie knows. :thumb:

I expect you guys to win. Fev have had to play two weeks in a row against Super League sides as well as work and train part time throughout the week.

The pros of being fulltime will always outweigh the cons of being part time training wise.Intensity is a word often used come the middle 8's,and that's the hardest thing to create as a Championship team playing Championship football week in,week out.

As the intensity levels arn't there every game, artificial scenarios have to be put in place and Paul Cooke has masterminded the scenarios. That fella is making the difference for the 8's this time round for Leigh.

Whether Fev can match that intensity,we'll find out Sunday.

Well enough, Charlie, thanks. How's your good self? Fairy Nuff, the Leigh team has also been strengthened in recent weeks by adding Brown & Dawson (though Tickle is yet to do his thing on my fancy).

In Charlie I trusted last week and Leythe brought home some unlooked for bacon, but a 12 to 20 lead will be no solace to a remote supporter yearning for news of the hooter after shipping 22 points in the last few minutes against another non-SL team, and at home to boot!

I might have to take the sofa to work this Sunday!

Still, go Leythe!!

Im not a Stats Fan ,but Tickle apparently was one of Leigh's top yards makers for the Salford game,he may not be one of the stand out players like Matuia,or Hock but a workhorse guy who just gets on with the job,I have championed our pack all season, but now I feel our backs deserve praise ,I can't honestly see a weakness in our team now, Dawson and Brown have added a bit of speed and class , Tonga seems hopefully to have got over his injuries and Higson was deservedly MoM,I have to admit being wrong there to,as I thought Lee Smith should have replaced him  .

I'm not sure what will happen now with Lee Smith,it's a puzzler, but Jukesy has a nice delemma when picking his 17, I think we are peaking at the right time this season and it's great being a Leyther.I can't wait for Sunday , I'm not worried either, Fev are workmanlike and an honest team, but I wouldn't think any of there team could get into this Leigh team, have faith.Charlie knows.

Must admit I didn't notice Tickle as much as some other players but it appears in this instance Charlie actually does know.

Just had a look at the stats and apparently Tickle was our top tackler (29) and made the most meters (117) out of our forwards with only Mitch Brown (a massive 155m!) making more.

I stand duly corrected, Charles. Were he to prove a belter, I should be Tickled Lily the Pink! I think that I may always have had a problem with people by the name of Tickle, or at least the ones with at least one Y chromosome, as I fear one of my daughters falling for and marrying one. Her name is Tess!

I have no info on Smith but Higson was indeed really impressive. I work almost all Sundays and only see the later footage of most matches and therefore it was a revelation last Saturday.

Nozz ,as I said I'm not usually a Stats man but I do watch what work the forwards get through, some folk think all I talk is stupid rubbish, maybe they are right, but I can be serious when it's needed,at the moment this Leigh team really excites me  sad I know , but true,I think we have come a long way in terms of progression since last season, when fans of Fax and Bradford made fun of us in the middle 8s, it won't happen this year.

We seem to have upped a gear or 2 from Derek, Jukesy, Cokey, down to the players, which is a good sign, it will be interesting on Sunday to see what the Leigh following is like, I'm hoping for a big turn out, can't wait.
