It is fair because we play the bottom four in Super League irrespective of the method they end up there.
Normally reffy you make a fair amount of sense but this beggars belief.
So, let's say Wakefield or Hull KR finish the regular season 4 points behind Salford but Salford drop into the Middle 8's, sparing one of the 4 worst teams in SL from the 8's.
Both WTW & KR are beatable SL sides, Salford probably not. Salford could theoretically end up in the MPG *unlikely* which Championship Team would beat them ?
It is feasible that given the right circumstances & form that both Leigh & Bradford 'could' take the scalps of WTW & KR, maybe 1 victory from each Championship Club or 2 victories from 1 Championship Club.
Then there is the MPG itself.
Oldham have already done a job on KR !!! & they will be nowhere near the 8's, proving that in a one off game 'anything can happen'.
Now if one of those poor SL sides is replaced with a decent Salford, what are the chances ? More or less reffy ?
