Given you chair's and previous coach's behaviour and proclamations, willingly supported across the media by some of the club's fans are only ever going to attract such a response. You've followed rugby long enough to know that.

I can see and accept where you are coming from. However, in the interests of accuracy, as far as I'm aware, our chairman Michael Norris hasn't been banging on about how wonderful we are. He tends to maintain a dignified silence. Our owner and Football Director however, has been making some wild predictions about this season. In some ways therefore, it's good to take a defeat early on, to remove that pressure! (providing that Oldham don't spoil our party next week!
) Again, in the interests of accuracy, our former coach went public to ridicule the suggestion of an unbeaten season, adding that it was most disrespectful to our opponents to suggest that. Our owner's comments are probably pinned to every Championship (and SL) dressing room door!As for Batley? They played us very well, and if they continue with that form, they'll upset a few more Championship teams. Of course, that won't cause such a stir because, as far as I know, nobody from those clubs has said they are going to go unbeaten this season! Mind you, that dream lives on for Bradford, Sheffield, Dewsbury, Halifax, London - and BATLEY!!
