Super 8s/super league/crowds : Fri Jul 31, 2015 10:35 pm  

I know I've said it a few times, but we all need to do our bit and get family and friends down to the super 8s. Anyone that wants a super league club should do their bit and get new and lapsed fans to come down to the LSV. If we want a SL team then we need super league crowds - we can't rely on Derek or another putting their money in.

The more bums on seats and feet on terrace makes sure our club is financially sound. Plus, as Derek said in his statement, it evidences that the town wants a super league side.

We've got some great games coming up and are playing quality rugby. There's been no greater time to convert people into Leigh fans. Let's spread the word, buy mates tickets, convince the family to attend and have some fantastic atmospheres and hopefully break some attendance records.

It's a shame that the kr game clashes with united but there's time to watch the united game beforehand in the East and then stroll over to the lsv for the game.

Come on leythers, let's do our bit!

I think clashing with Bolton is a bigger issue than United for Leigh fans. I expect a good crowd regardless. My brother is (usually) much more fanatical about Bolton than he is about Leigh but he is picking the Hull KR game over Bolton's season opener against Derby.

These matches are huge and shouldn't be hard to sell to the Leigh public on the back of another outstanding season. I am confident we will pull in some very respectable attendances in the 8's. The 10,000 HKR fans visiting won't hurt either

LSV will be rocking come kick off, I can't wait!

Look it's the middle 8's,not the Super 8's and it also clashes with the Bolton game..I'll be there and don't expect to see any of our home/away games short of our own as it has been all season.

1st day of our holiday. I'll be sat in a bar watching the United game then convincing the locals to switch over for their first taste of RL. Hope the United opener doesn't put people off going to see Leigh as usually happens.

Talking crowds. How poor was the crowd last night at HJ. They managed just 1000 more than our quarter final game v wolves, very poor from 2 big clubs.

I don't think comparing getting back to Leigh after an afternoon kick off with getting back to Leeds after an evening kick of is a valid argument.
