Crowds : Wed Jul 01, 2015 7:59 pm
It's now getting to the business end of the season and we have some great games coming up - fev and the middle 8s especially.

It was another great turnout v the wire and the best atmosphere in a long time. Hopefully the rest of Leigh watched the game whilst the 4/5000 went.

For me, this is when we all need to do our bit. Let's make sure we have some big attendances and great atmosphere. Get your mates who came to wire to come back, get the guy in the pub who always asks about Leigh to come to the game. Spread the word and make sure people know that there's a big game on and what's at stake.

If you can, buy your mate a ticket for a game, drag your family to the game and do all you can. The more bums on seats the stronger the club whether we're in SL or the championship.

There's no better time to get people into supporting Leigh which will bode us well for next year. The team are not letting us down on the field so let's make sure we don't let them down off it.

If we want to be a SL club we need SL attendances.

Here's to a great finish to the season!!

We should see some great crowds in the middle 8s providing results are good. Salford especially and Wire if they finish in the bottom 4.

Financially we must be well ahead of budget which must be a first!!!

After so long without a home game I doubt it, but with the glut of home games coming up and the money from Wire we should start reducing the gap

Well we did have a long gap before our home game agreed.. But lets not forget the 3 CC games prior to Wire.

2,448 London
6,358 Salford
3,859 Wakefield

I know its a 50/50 split, but those games as with the Wire wouldn't have been included in the budget for this season.

Also how much is the prize money for a QF CC.. Ladbrokes being quoted as in excess of £1 m per season for three years.I would of thought 50k for a QF spot is reasonable before the attendance is taken into consideration.. I can't see why we wouldn't be ahead on budget.

If the Finance team did not budget for a spell without home games when they had the fixture lists in front of them, then we should be very worried! Unless spending is out of control, we have to be ahead of budget with the crowds we have had.

Budgets I would expect aren't an issue, cash flow would need propping up these past 2 months imo

Starbug here

Generally Challenge Cup prize money ( and NRC ) is added to the players ' pot ' as it is Salary Cap exempt

Considering our home attendences are averaging about 4100 this season I'd say that's about £500k after vat and the LSV's cut. Add in Challenge cup gate shares' £550k prize money given after our success last year plus LISA money etc we are heading in the right direction imo.

Saturday's crowd is larger than their game against the Pies tonight. More Leythers than Pies. There's more Leythers. More Leythers than Pies.
Sing along now.
