Must say, the absence of Acton and penky is huge for us. We missed penky on Sunday, that was clear for all to see, and Acton on his day is as good as any prop we have. Wise not to risk fui, concerned Rowley felt he could not give foster a spell on Sunday, but then names him in squad for Salford.
Penky being out is a huge blow. I assume it will mean Beswick doing the full 80 as it is too big of a game to throw in young Foster. Think he has only made 1 or 2 first team appearances. Beswick is great but I think we cause more problems in attack with Penky on the pitch.
Acton must have picked up a knock, he is in good form so no other reason for him to miss out.
Foster and one of Platt/Worthington to miss out from that 19 I reckon.

Disagree regarding Jamie think its a very sensible move. He's still a young pup and can at times be a liability and is still very raw and learning the game. We can get away with silly penalties and defensive lapses against PT team in the Championship but wont against a FT and a good FT team at that.
Jamies time will come im sure but im with Rowls on this one.

I know what you're saying re: Acton, but, for me, he's improved massively this season alone, in all areas. I'd have played him.
I'd have had Acton in if he isn't injured as he's been a big player this season. He can change the feeling around the ground when he comes on and really lift the crowd. I understand where Andy is coming from regarding raw and penalties but lets not forget Salford will be going all out to rattle Gareth and big Sam Barlow so I'd imagine we'll see some fireworks regardless especially with Morley in the opposite corner
