Leigh Announce Strong Squad For Hunslet Test : Wed Apr 01, 2015 12:37 pm  

Leigh Centurions have named their 19-man squad for their Kingstone Press Championship Round 7 game at Hunslet Hawks on Good Friday (2pm).

Fullback Gregg McNally is in line to make his 100th Centurions appearance in the fixture with hooker Bob Beswick two games away from the milestone.

Martyn Ridyard is 10 goals away from becoming only the fourth player in history to kick 500 goals for the Club. He has kicked 483 goals and 7 dropgoals. Jimmy Ledgard kicked 1,043 goals for Leigh, John Woods kicked 997 and Neil Turley 503.

I'm quite looking forward to Friday, used to like trips out to Hunslet's nice little ground, hope the little steam train is running on Friday! They seem to be doing better than expected too, thought being promoted with 5 relegated they'd just get hammered every week. Still think another big win for us, providing no lightning hitting the pitch at half time. 52-10 to Leigh.

Aye. Another big win for Leigh. Although... the pitch might be boggy from what I've seen so maybe not as big a win as expected.

And the lads should give that number 30 for Hunslet some extra attention for cheating last week against Sheffield. Fans should boo him too.

Whatever Paul turns out will be a very strong squad , we are strong all over the park,but South Leeds Stadium is a very narrow pitch and will suit Hunslet more than Leigh ,for this reason I'm going for a score of Huns 10 V Leigh 38 .
