I see Salfords next 4 games going like this :-

Widnes Home - WIN
Hudds Away - HEAVY DEFEAT
Wigan Home - NARROW WIN
Leeds Home - NARROW DEFEAT
Leigh Away - DEFEAT

Salford have only lost 1 at home this year and appear to be awful away. The prior 4 games to us will give them 2 wins from 4 and a narrow defeat to Leeds. When we beat them it will give a clear indication were this current Leigh squad lies in the SL table.

Salford are the highest ranked team in this draw and will somehow be 4th in SL tonight.

For me the SL is split into 3 in 2015 :-

St Helens
Leeds

Wire

Then the rest....

Personally i think we would finish really high up in the rest pot.

Look forward to welcoming you to the LSV John Gilbert, this is a very different Leigh team than one you have seen for 3 decades!!

Cocky because I am confident that a Super League team will beat a Championship one. Not really, I appreciate confidence is high after the last 12 months of smashing part-time teams but Super League opposition is a completely different proposition. I would be confident of every Super League team in that draw going to Leigh and winning.

So you think it's acceptable for professional RL players to be calling other supporters 'faggots'? Here was me thinking Leigh was a 'family' club. Don't do a Liverpool FC, just accept he was out of order and support the RFL in condemning such behaviour. I did when he was a Salford player...

I am sure it is, but this is also a very different Salford team than the one you have seen for 3 decades. It should be a great cup tie, we'll bring plenty over and with the encouraging attendances you have been attracting lately it will be good to see some romance back in the old cup at a stage where typically games are quite boring and mundane.

To be honest Salford should be favourites to win, they're a Super League team with a lot of quality players. However those Salford fans expecting an easy win just because it's against Championship opposition need to realise times have changed; salary cap in The Championship has gone up by an order of magnitude, Leigh are a full time team, many of the advantages SL clubs traditionally had are now severely reduced. This Leigh team is fantastic & performing very well, true against Championship opposition but the skill on show does look a match for Super League.

Salford clear favourites. A Super League side, that could be 4th by the end of the evening. As for poor away form, not many teams will get anything away to Catalans, and putting 40 points on there shows how dangerous they can be in attack.

We just need to compete with them and put in a good performance. I hope all these new fans that have turned up aren't fickle enough to just pack it in if we do lose.

They are awful away from home, any side that is 22-0 up shouldnt draw 40-40. People might think that game was a spectacle i thought it was awful with average tries scored against awful defending.

In all fairness Ste, it seems to be a recurring theme in Super League season. I read a stat of just 8 away wins in 34 Super League games so far this season, with St Helens chalking up 3 of those 8.

It is tougher than it has ever been to win away from home in Super League in 2015.

Yeah i agree John, and i think you will go 4th tonight. However just because we are in the league below dont assume we wouldnt be challenging in the same way. We've played 6 competitive matches in 2015 half of which have been vs FT clubs. So dont get caught up with the 'we only thrash' part time clubs.

Its my belief both Leigh and Bradford will return to SL in 2016.
