If my calculations are correct, should you place a bet for Leigh to win outright at a miserly 1/3, then place your returns on the next game at the same odds, and so on over the 23 championship games, you would come out of the other end with effective odds of around 745/1 should we go the season unbeaten.
Even with variation in the odds, you'd still be seeing much bigger returns than 20/1.
