Final call tomorrow.......... Over 500 children and supervising adults now confirmed from invitations sent out to the community clubs/ community groups. Saturday is now fast approaching so if any clubs/ groups wish to be part of the parade and the event please get in-touch before COP tomorrow (Tuesday) on andy.mazey@leighrl.co.uk. All children go free along with supervising adults plus discounted tickets available for additional parents and family members connected with teams/ groups taking part. Let's also remember the team voted to be the best turned out on the day will win a prize of ONE THOUSAND POUNDS!!!!! Let's play our part in making this a landmark day in our great clubs history and it will be so fitting to have the towns youngsters mixing with it's heroes of the past. The next John Woods, Neil Turley etc may well be on that pitch Saturday and it's our job as a club to make sure they forever remember this day and grow up with the ambition to one day get back out there. Can children season ticket holders and junior centurions just turn up on the day and get involved in the parade, as we've heard nothing to say whether we can or can't.

No you won't be able to just turn up and get involved as the operation is being coordinated by our match day operations team and Leigh Community trust. That said anyone wishing to be involved may be able to join the parade if an email is received before close of play tomorrow by Hannah at the Trust Hannah@leighcommunitytrust.co.uk They are busy so i imagine they will wish t draw a line on this by mid/ late Thursday afternoon so if anyone wants to be involved it would be wise to email as early as possible. It just seems a bit strange that all the organising for the parade is enticing kids (via schools or sports clubs) who have probably never been to watch Leigh, which I'm not knocking for one minute and is a great initiative. But stalwart child season ticket holders are left to their own devices to try and get involved.
I'll contact Hannah.

Yes Keith and big numbers confirmed from LMR also great to see both clubs getting behind such a special day.

We have representation also from Leigh RU, Leigh Utd FC, Leigh Cricket Club, Leigh Community FC, Golborne Parkside, Westhoughton Lions just to name a few and will also have representation from the Scouts and hopefully some Karate clubs also.

The Trust have also engaged many schoolchildren from the area who will also take part.

Should be a great day and one which should fill us all with pride to see so many youngsters involved with our club.
