Well I have said it before and I will say it again we have about 10 people who sometimes attend Leigh games at the LSV who think we have a problem with obscene chanting and references to a now dead Yorkshire man.
Anyone reading their posts who isn't a regular attendee would think it is a constant annoying ridiculously stupid irritant.
Over a full game this so called offensive objectionable noise lasts for how long ?
I hear bad language on public transport every day and folk listening to mobile phone "music" without headphones and I know which I find worse.
Yeh I am a grandad who does not join in with the Saville song but I am a realist who knows most people swear in certain situations but my kids and grandkids don't swear in front of me and I don't in front of them.
At any sporting event you hear the odd offensive chant. It's a fact of life. I put up with it in the same way I put up with pop music which is constantly played when I go to the gym.
Why not just enjoy watching the best Leigh side I can remember because after all
most of us go to watch the skill of our players.
