I agree Matt it is a little bit quiet but it's not because there is a clique. People get bored and have time away or other things happen in their lives or, we are performing so well we are even bored with saying how good we are. One thing I am sure of is that people who have not been on here for some time will surface if we loose or if we trounce Batley at the weekend and that is because there will be something to debate. This thread was turning into an us and them one and we don't need that. Speak your mind and standup for yourself.

Matt you know me well enough , i say it as i see it , im not being harsh ,im just not having a part -time supporter having a pop at people who care about our club,if HE thinks its a clique thats his opinion ,i laugh at myself ,and agree i talk rubbish at times , but my rubbish is just as good as any other posters on here , you know id do owt for this club, maybe some dont agree with me , i dont always agree with them , but i dont say its a clique ,if Nik got to more matches then maybe he wouldnt feel leftout.

Not too long a go there was a spell of ridiculing posters if they were the slightest bit critical and there was also some selective moderation. If any supported Super League teams anything they said was automatically out of order.
The forum has changed over time from a discussion medium into a mutual backslapping club, and if you aren't a member of this club you may as well be a leper.

I agree with Matt too but the surprising thing is despite that' we get more posts by far than any other Championship club.

I also agree with his comment about Scooter Nik but at least he airs his views from time to time as do other posters.

This isn't the only board incidentally which is quieter than it used to be.

Quite frankly when I disagree with someone I honestly don't think I personally ridicule them' although I do have the odd lighthearted post with Charlie.

I know individuals who used to post but don't now. I will ask one or two why not when I see them on Sunday.

Reffy you also have been guilty of jumping in without thinking as most of us have. This is a championship club and the fans are going to have problems with SL fans who come on here with their mighty than thow attitudes. On my life the only time I have witnessed anything like this was when that young man came on here saying he was helping TB and asked some questons. He was treated appallingly and I told the posters so. Having said that the club looked like it was going to go bump and people were in defence mode. All the time I have been on here I have only seen what you call "selective moderating" twice and it's probably because they were in bed. This board and it's moderators put up with a damn site more than some SL boards anyway.

Reffy i personally try to get everyone involved in the Forum in some way or another , whether it be by Jonnys polls ,discussions ,opinions ,lighthearted or serious , im not in any backslapping club either , i love Leigh , the Team , the Club , everything and try to get everyone involved , i realise everyone doesnt have the same interests ,Poker , the forecast Comp ,LISA members , or Touchdown Club , but im still trying to get more people involved ,we should all try to work together in some way , we all want the best for Leigh Centurions .

The forum seems to be used more when the team have been beat or we have some players in/out the side, we are winning with a settled squad so Long may it stay quiet

From what I've seen over the years people drift in and out the game, some lose interest and do something else then come back later, others pack it in altogether, the good thing with this board is we seem to have a lot of posters in anyhow so something must be right.

I probably won't be posting on here much longer either, as lisa will be attending our first. Board meeting next week, it will be a rule I can't post on here no doubt. So itll be lisa. News only from me after next Wednesday.

Sorry to tread on your toes as an outsider leythers but as an outsider looking in I honestly believe yours is the best board out of all the boards in the championship category.

Your fans are clearly passionate and care about your club,yeah sometimes the debate does seem to get side tracked a touch (season ticket discounts) .

If we could replicate that level of passion and loyalty throughout the game then we would be in a lot better place as a sport.

We (Fev) rarely post on our board but use a different one,and to be fair at times I can see where new members would see some of the comments as a tad negative if the view is against the majority's way of thinking. But that's healthy and debate should always win out despite of who is either right or wrong.

Not back slapping anyone here but I believe you are a cracking club because of all of the above..

Disclaimer....I reserve the right to withdraw all of the above should you finish ahead of us in any competition this year..
