Don't know how many actually took up the kids for free,but judging by the queues at the bars and food outlets it must have been quite a few as us seasoned vets spent nowt in the ground at them prices and only new commers are daft enough to do lol

But seriously never seen so many families at the ground and the standing part looked more full than I have ever seen it

Hope they carry on the push for the families,I know of 3 brand news fans who now take there kids along who have never been before and are loving it and they are all football mad but now converted


Little acorns and all that come on leigh the people are there just keep tempting them in

We took our 6 year-old grandson, for his first taste of RL. I couldn't believe how excited he was - even more than I was! His interest was fuelled by the brilliant Easter RL skills days that the Club and LSV put on. He thoroughly enjoyed the day and has two heroes in Stuart Donlan and John Duffy, who really impressed him at the 'Skills' days. Thanks lads.

I was pessimistic about today's attendance, but I too take of my hat (well flat cap actually) to the Club. 2,583 for a noon kick off was astonishing.

Do you have anything similar to the Wanderers' Junior Whites at Leigh?

If not, might be a good time to start one!

Minimal cost, huge potential and easy to link to your existing schools programmes, etc.

No idea what your on about mate but if it involves kids and mums and dads then we should be looking in to it.They are the future.

WE should forget those who still think the directors are still stealing from the club they wil come and watch when the goings good if they choose to.They will also walk away and shitstare when thinks arn't going so good. Just forget them.

To be honest I thought it was great to see so many families coming out of the ground at the end,lets get them back for the batley,catalans games

Bolton have a excellent set up for the junior whites my 2 kids are members plus season ticket holders and a season ticket cost £49 for 20 odd home games? and it cost me £50 quid each for the leigh ones with far less games ,thats the market were up against but the plus for us the games are more entertaining and you don't have the moronic element I have seen at home games at the reebok and especially wembley last week.

All kids at junior school or less should be £20 for the season and senior schools £30

We have a first class stadium which is safe for families to watch the games in and a product second to none, get the families in get them hooked,mum or dad don't mind going if they think its only x amount of pounds for a entertaining afternoon out

More early afternoon KO's with Barbecues for the family? (out side the main stadium obviously) Even have a place where folk can bring thier own barbies, food and drinks, ask the players to hang around for an hour or so before they go home, make it into a real family atmosphere.

Whenever Leigh plan an "outdoor" event in rains!! You can't rely on the weather in Leyth!!! However, behind the north stand there is a bit of land that would lend itself nicely to a picnic area, a couple of marquees serving beer and bbq food, along with bouncy castles etc for the kids.
