Right - first things first;

the repreive is not by any work of Leigh RLFC, efforts still stand and that effort was rewarded with fair and square relegation last season.

WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN A GET OUT OF JAIL CARD BY THE MISFORTUNE OF A.N OTHER!!!!!!!!!

Now,

Its time to take stock and apprceiate where we are. We need to stop all the bo**ocks about French and Welsh teams taking precedence, the franchise system is a joke (was it - well we certainly proved that didn't we!!!!!), the referees / RFL don't like 'Little Leigh' etc etc etc.............

We now have a chance to re-establish a team under a proven coach and make a drive for a VIABLE SL slot. However, that drive for SL needs to be on all fronts - I've posted before that TV cameras panning round onto banks of empty seats at a mundane low quality game of rugby is of no use to anyone and if thats allowed to happen then sorry, no one deserves anything.

We have great facilities and a large fan base that has been allowed to drift, but would for the most part return if they are presented with something worth watching.

As for the team, well as always I have high hopes, we have the right man at the helm next year IMHO.

As for the club, well if ignorance is bliss and you think we stayed up by our own accord and have the right to be there then carry on and ride us into oblivion. If you accept that last season was disgraceful and simply not acceptable then lets take our good fortune for what it is and work your socks off to get it right. Because trust me, last season you didn't no matter what you may think.

What we now need is Bums on seats.
3-4 K a match minimum is what we should be looking at, whether its adults, kids or Season ticket holders.
Its not down to the club too market the games, we as supporters should be there anyhow.

Its not impossible too ask for 5k a match regardless of who we play, lets give something back, if not for AT then for IM.

No one knows how hard AT has worked, lets start to repay him, and start putting money back into his pockets instead of him paying out for OUR club all the time.
As fred says without AT we are stuffed, lets give him reason too carry on with Leigh Centurions!!

I have just put it on another thread for everyone on facebook to put out a call for all Leythers and people outside Leigh to come down and buy a ST for next season. Easy and cheap advertising.

We need income, if all ex pats working abroad avoiding tax paid £25 a month into a business club it would be a great gesture, get your standing order sorted and that of the other Leythers with you.

I am happy to do that if you give me an equivalent amount to pay my Canadian tax bill (city, provincial AND federal!)

I am indeed mate.

BTW I believe theres a piece in this weeks paper about the side thats coming over here to play in the 7's.

They are asking for ex-pats here to possibly help out??

Can anyone give me more details on this??
