Warrington Wolves front-rower Mike Cooper has received a one-match penalty notice for a Grade B high tackle on Adam O’Brien in Warrington’s win over Huddersfield Giants in the Super 8s on Friday.
Thought it was a desperate grab with no intent. To be honest I thought Hughes’ 3 shots were worse (only 2 of which were penalised). You don’t get a busted nose from someone grabbing you round the chest!
Agreed, we're pretty much nailed on 4th now. Wigan have Huddersfield then Hull after us, Cas have Huddersfield, Wakey then Saints.
We could possibly sneak 3rd, but I dont really see the benefit. Form goes out of the window to an extent, but Wigan away feels the harder path than Saints away at present.
Looks like BMM, Brown & Cooper will be missing this week, not sure on Westwood & Thompson? Then spread Hill, Goodwin, Hughes? and Clark, out over the Saints and Wakey games. Would depend who was playing 'with needles' vs Hudds I guess.

We beat Wigan 16-nil this season already....we haven't beat Saints.
Let's not fall down to the classless Saints level with Catalans. Let's go about our business with focus.
Tbh I fear Castleford in a final more than either Wigan or Saints.
Really couldn't care less if we lose the next three (even heavily) as long as we get no injuries/suspensions. In fact I rather hope we lose to St Helens as going to their place in the semi 3-0 down for the season instead of 2-1 would be in our favour......we wouldn't be losing for a fourth time.

I certainly hope my post didn't come across as that!
Don't think many would suggest Saints are in better form than Wigan right now but as I said form goes out of the window a little in knockout games anyway, so to repeat, I dont see a greater benefit in finishing either 3rd or 4th. Second yes, but I dont see it as achievable now.
Focus yes, but I'm sure most sensible managers will be resting players up where they have the possibility to do so.
