Poor old Roy .... you still haven't finished slating him.

I give you: Roy Asotasi, Matty Russell, Tyrone Roberts ... that should flush out the boring negs that stop people using forums.
We might even get a response from the No1. neg!

I don't know what you expect following a Wembley defeat and the most inept halfback performance I have seen since the days of Rocky Turner on a thread dedicated to our halfbacks.

There is nothing negative in saying that players are not good enough and that you are not satisfied with them, and then ensuing discussion how we could improve matters in the last part of the season.

I think we have to consider the fact that Price & Henderson & Briers may have seen a bit more than we have and may even know the game better. This may come as a shock to some.

Please, provide some hope and up tempo positivism by illuminating what Price & Henderson & Briers may see in the halfback partnership which the likes of us plebs don't see. Instead of snide bitching about the dark light a candle.

All as bad as each other. People have very short memories for Patton. Who when in the team always went missing for eons during a game. He only looks a good option now because of our current choices being terrible.

No denying Patton's attitude and appetite for hard work. However, as a half back he is half a second off in terms of thought process, decisions and actions for this level. I quite like him at interchange hooker though.

Sorry to offend. My point is simple in that it doesn't really matter what we think.
You don't just drop someone for being disappointing or worse. You always have to bring someone else in. So Price & Henderson & Briers obviously are not happy to bring in either Patton or Smith or another, into half back.
You can bang your drum or shake your rattle as much as you like and keep protesting (as you have) but it ain't going to happen ... this week.

Your half back reminiscing has just made me think of Adam Doyle. I'm off to another thread!

Well I like Patton...but that kick for touch was inexcusable.

Briers used to miss touch quite a lot.

He did. I was going to use it as point...Briers did it in an important game but I can't think which, so I left it hoping someone like yourself would come in and say exactly what you did but name that game too.
I don't recall him doing after anyways.

Nathan Wood certainly failed to make touch at Wigan in 2004 when basically all we had to do was boot the ball out of play to win the game.

Jon Clarke at scrum-half that day, with Noone, Varkulis and Gaskell joining Westwood in the three-quarter line.
