Although Tyrone Roberts has disappointed more than a few. I see him has chief organiser. He needs to be in Cup final. Wrap him up for me. I think we would lose all shape on the right/and at end of sets if he suddenly went missing.
Those who love momentum/play strongest team/must win game ... etc. not for me.
Fourth is good with Trophy in cabinet.
Don't think it will happen though ... but been wrong so many times.

He's played virtually every game this season, and let's face it, he's not Alfie Langer, is he? So what's the point in resting him? It's not like he's been playing well. He hasn't.
It's like Wigan going into a major final, and resting Sam Panapa, but playing Gregory and Edwards.

As Price thinks he's the best we've got, he plays every game. (I assume) we're paying him enough
Neither glass half full or empty. Just a realist.

4th is not guaranteed the way huddersfield are playing! Friday is a massive game in my eyes, probably the biggest one of the super 8s. We should be putting our strongest team out and going for the win.

Has played OK in big games. Can be frustrating but not as bad as you say ... but you are a bit critical (methinks) but if you take the blinkers off he provides try scoring passes and useful kicks which probably no one else can do.
Who would you play in his place? Key question please don't dodge.

I really wish Smith had have played the odd game. I thought he should have been in vs Cats ... even before we saw their team.
But ... he would find it hard to slot in for one game.

Well, Smiffy
Has played ok in big games. Well blow me down. OK? That's fantastic value for his £250K p.a. He played well ( he kicked well v Wigan in the qf), and that's about it for me. Other than that, he's just a bog standard scrum half.
He provides try scoring passes and useful kicks. WOW. THAT'S HIS JOB. Hunslett's scrum half does that. No-one else can do it, you say. Well the side might as well stop now, and pack in.

I have no blinkers on. I only see what I see on the pitch or my TV screen from him, and that's not been enough. In fact, no where near enough from a "top class" NRL recruit.

Who would I play instead of him, probably Patton, and he's not much better, BUT HE IS COMMITED to the side , something I've not seen anywhere near enough of, from Roberts (imo). Roberts will play, though. Such is life. Each year, clubs take a punt on Aussie stars, and hope they "come up with the goods". This one hasn't. Can we just hold our hands up and admit it's not worked. Pooh happens. Sometimes we buy a Boyd. Sometimes, it's a Tietzel (and Boydie recommended him).

Yes, I AM critical. I help to pay this bloke's wages.

On your opening post, you described him as our cheif organiser. Listening to the player mic on the said game v Wigan, I'd've said that was Brown.

I can see that we pay him a lot/ not played well etc. etc. etc. but we are trying to win a game .. not make a the same old laboured point.
Roberts is still a key man.

Roberts is getting better and we would certainly miss him if he wasnt playing. Whatever you think about his value for money he's pretty vital to this team at present. Should we do the double, Roberts continues playing well added to his honesty in leaving (Barba should try it) then I'd say his time here was a success. Big ifs mind. Certainly prefer an overseas signing coming good at this time of year...again unlike Barba.
