Was an absolute tackle machine tonight, type of player teammates love for that high work rate.

Poor Jonnothegreat's cat
He/she will cowering in a Widnes bedsit, under an Emosi Koloto duvet, with a dose of terminal diahorea, wondering when the next slipper will be thrown.
Neither glass half full or empty. Just a realist.

Magic. Plus the double whammy that Widnes officially stinks https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/li ... d-15005994

Eddie Battye was my favourite. How many times did he take the ball up? Where has he come from.

Surprised Jonno as not been on telling us it doesn’t matter because they won the world club challenge.

Oliver Ashall-Bott looked the standout player from Widnes. Let's have him & Danny Walker at the end of the season.

Matt looks a big tough lad who hits hard in the tackle. He didn't take the ball up that much. Unless (of course) I fell asleep and missed a bit.

No, I haven't seen much of him at all, but you may have put your finger on a key weakness there.

He is quick, but not very big.
He has got good hands, but he is not very big.
He works hard... but he is not very big.

Clearly he will not be on a big salary with us and presumably Henderson rates him highly, but he will be at quite a disadvantage against sides like Hull and Catalans who like to use big packs of forwards. I would have preferred us to have signed a fourth prop, but perhaps I am yearning for those long lost days when we played Morley, Carvell, Paul Wood, Cooper and latterly Chris Hill. Even if the opposition managed to survive the initial blast from Morley and the 'wrecking ball', they were a long way from getting a breather as Hill, Wood, Cooper trotted on the pitch to decimate the remaining walking wounded.

Absolutely, put some big defensive hits in and very good ball playing skills. Looking like a good signing for next year :-)
