He he. Maybe we should get him back to oversee youth development, recruitment and to consult on "winning finals" attitudes.

Why not....he has won three Challenge Cups, two Grand Finals and a World Club Challenge so at least he has been there and done it. What other current or former Warrington coaches have won as many finals?

Why do you keep comparing Smith to previous pre-Money Warrington coaches? You wouldn't do the same with squads as it is equally pointless. So let's compare objectively...

In 14 years as a coach at two wealthy clubs, that's a poor return by Smith.

It's quite obvious when you consider that in the period of the last 6 years where Smith has delivered absolutely nothing, Wane has won 2 GFs, 1 WCC, 1 x CC, Domestic double. McDermott 3 GFs, 1 WCC, 2 x CC, Domestic Treble.

Shaun Wane too blows TS return out of the water and only half the time and near equaled already by a then rookie Lee Rads in a 1/3 of that.

SC refers back to a time when we were broke or tight for comparison against our own history and never against our then current top of the league rivals.

SC is TS.

McDermott and Wane are both available for next season, will Warrington be an ambitious enough club to bring one of them in or will we do the usual 'snooze and lose'?

If we brought them in, would you expect them to replicate their trophy count with us and our resources, or would you secretly harbour doubts that say McDermott even with big resources, may not be quite as successful without his core of Sinfield, Burrow, McGuire etc around.

We might have a great team next year when Ste Price can have a pre season, & deal his own hand instead of playing with Smith's busted flush.

I’m intrigued to see what Price can do. Some of this squad was from the Smih era, but we’ve had to patch the rest together at the last minute in the off-season. I think he’s done quite well in the circumstances. Now we’re addind some real quality in Charnley, Austin etc and hopefully it will bear fruit, we won’t win anything this year but if we can make a cup final and possibly a grand final then we can’t argue that this season hasn’t been a success... all we need to do is make sure we build on it the next two years.

Let’s not also forget the state of the club below first team level. This is being addressed with Price’s input and we’ve got Leuluai to manage the players, which has been recognised as an area that the previous regime lacked relevant experience in.

The club is in a far better state than it has ever been in, even if we haven’t won anything of note since 2012. Optimistic for the future.

It's obvious our board is fully behind Price and Price in turn has 100% trust in Hendo. I'm very happy with them.

The shallow depth in forwards has caught us out...we've got a cracker of a prop for 2019 but we really need to get BBM back ASAP.

Why would we want Wane anyway (he isn't available anyway) - he's one of the most over-rated coaches of the last 20 years. Wigan have won a few things despite him not because of him. He produces boring teams from groups that should do much better given the talents they have available.

The only thing you can say in his favour is that he is well-versed in the structures and attitudes that Wigan have put in place for over 20-30 years - not something that is easy to replicate by moving to another team.

I'd much rather have B Mac if we were going to get rid of Price (not that I think we will or should).
