Lui’s okay and above average, but he’s not the mercurial halfback we need or deserve. It shows how desperate we are if that’s the best we can do. The other thing is, BMM looked even better in that Salford team and he’s not providing the goods at present so no reason to expect Lui to either.

I’d rather see Jake Trueman brought in early, with a promise of big bucks the next year if he can prove himself worthy of the role of playmaker. That’s motivation enough.

After all the talk about people needing time to get used to tactics, structures etc. bringing in another playmaker now is as damning a verdict on the current regime as I can think of.

He's a great centre though. I was gutted when he went Salford. I wanted him here.

Salford need to find £200,000. They got £100K for O'Brien but need to find another £100K

When you live in a City, that's surrounded by another big City, and you're still only getting 3500 attendances , it's no wonder they're up pooh creek without the proverbial paddle.

I'd defo give them Russell on an exchange for Josh Jones and the 100K....good business sense.
