Yes, I saw this as well and you can understand Fitzpatrick's feelings, but it's not what a CEO should be saying to the press. Perhaps "disappointed", possibly "it's disrespectful to the club", but that should be it. We have plenty of coaches and club officials in RL who mouth off from time to time and bring the sport down to the level of a bar room slanging match. We don't need our newly appointed CEO making these sort of implied threats.
Fitzpatrick also said " his (Sandow) reasons were valid". Were they ? I don't think so. You could say you understood why he wanted out for family reasons, but if every player simply walked out of his contract because he was missing his family , it would be chaos.
