What about the one on Ben Evans at the HJ. The Wigan players ripped his legs apart and ruptured his thigh muscle if i remember correctly. May not be illegal as such but is sh~t house tactics employed by Wigan to injure players. The tackle on Ratchford when there was no need for it. Hock gouging Ben Harrisons eyes. You could keep on going with examples, oh and while im at it, we have ratboy coming back with his pinning of players arms so they cant get out, therefore a penalty is given or if not he will drop the ball and say its been ripped out.
On the flip side, Westwood punching Blake Green, Westwood punching Sam Tomkins. Sims punching Williams, Sims punching another Wigan player (can't remember which one but he got banned for both).
We can all name things players of other teams have done, but we all forget the misdemeanours of our own. Rugby is a physical sport and things get out of hand sometimes. But to suggest that players intentionally try and hurt or injure each other is ridiculous (in terms of trying to break legs etc).
Players of opposing teams are much better friends off the pitch than people give them credit for and with very few exceptions, wouldn't want to actually hurt one another seriously.
At the end of the day if something is dangerous and likely to cause injury then it will be seen on video after the game, acted on, and the player or technique will be banned (Shoulder charge, chicken wing, cannonball). If you honestly believe the RFL are allowing certain teams to get away with things that are truly dangerous to player welfare and injury due to a bias then you're beyond help.
FWIW I don't think there was much in the Shenton/Boudebza tackle. He only got 4 games because of the seriousness of the injury, which I don't believe should be the case. The ban should come from the style of tackle/foul play rather than the outcome or injury sustained.
Also, you only have to look back at your game vs Leeds on Thursday to see that 'Ratboy' isn't the only player in super league to trap the players arm in the tackle. You could hear the ref on Thursday telling players from both teams to stop doing it on multiple occasions. I agree it's frustrating and I think a penalty should be given to the defending team if players are caught doing it on purpose, but as I said, many players in all teams do it.
