Leeds lost captain McGuire on 31 minutes, had a half fit Sutcliffe back after a very lengthy injury and, bless him, James Child failing to refer to the video ref for Sandow's try (to a man the Sky commentary team and their resident comedian Stuart Cummins said it should have been no-try). You lacked any real attacking flair, certainly in the first half.

By the way, wasn't Child awful last night. He missed serveral things for and from both sides. Not a first grade referee, by any stretch of the imagination.

He's the worst of the lot for me, Child.

I agree about Sandow's try but as I said earlier, both of your tries came from Ryan Hall knock-ons given against us. It could have been 0-6, final score.

Sandow - enjoying his job. You can tell. Defensively did well and the reading of the game with the cross-field kick was Briers-esque. Quite a lot of armory in his kit-bag. 8

Prefer Currie in 2nd row where he can continue his path to becoming the new Sculthorpe. I suspect we'll see Ratchford play centre as the Gidley/Sandow partnership looks too promising to tinker with, and both Russell and Johnson are better fullbacks.

Sandow - some wits on the Guardian ( national ) have come up with 'Sandow Ballet' - pretty neat description

Westerman - when at Cas he was probably rated as 'the new Sculthorpe' himself, so we have to hope that he returns to that form at the Wire.

I think Warrington Guardian might be over-exaggerating our defensive efforts! Third paragraph: "...which saw Warrington defend 60 more sets than their opponents..." http://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/spo ... ing_night/ I think that is meant to be 60 more tackles - which is a big achievement. 60 more sets would be a miracle!

One little point about Daryl Clark, in the last two sets he made a couple of runs that meant a very tired side reached halfway on the fifth tackle which took so much pressure off.

Gutted just got back from three days golf in Portugal, first thing I put on was the game I tapped and it only recorded the first half ... Fuming is an understatement. What I did see was impressive especially the defensive effort from the whole team.
