We recruited an awful lot more in that year. The problem was that we recruited an awful lot of players who had already been kicked out of the last chance saloon and a coach whose ideas were bizarre to say the least.

40 in 2001 (trialing everyone towards the end of that season), and then 37 in 2002.

We used 28 players this year (joint lowest with Wigan and Leeds), Wakefield used 40.
