The second Atkins on Makinson interference wasn't correct. Makinson was never getting that ball in a million years and Atkins slightly touched his arm, literally the slightest of touches.

Plus Amor punched the ball out...play on...then Clark grounded it...TRY! There was no knock-on by Clark anywhere in that move.

Bit of a random one, but I've often thought why don't they give the tennis method a go...

Each team has say 3 VR calls per half, if the defending team feels there is a need for VR the on field captain requests it to go upstairs. The 3 calls don't carry over if you don't use in first half. The on field ref then has to make the call more often than not

The thing with video refs this year more than ever is the system they use now. I've got a try just check etc etc, if he's got a try then he thinks they have scored that should be it end of,wether he is right or wrong that should be it. Someone as already said they are only human so will make mistakes. For me Id rather they got shut of them it's slowing the game down to much.

Without the subjectiveness and/or bias of the team supported, what would have happened if that game wasn't on TV?

James Child is a shocking referee, he has no confidence in making a decision and the constant drivel that Cummins comes out with to justify his decisions is bordering on delusional. A guy who is a referee at amateur level and was on the panel for Super League games explained a few things to me regarding the process' used and trained into these guys that is absolutely incredible.

You know its bad when the commentators are completely split about the decisions we rely on their comments as ex-players and referee's to enlighten the decisions made but its now a farce.

it was a push, regardless of whether he was going to get to the ball or not it was a push and therefore a penalty, so right call IMO

the Clark one i thought was right too, for me it was a loose carry initially, then the ball came loose, had that been in the middle of the field, it would no doubt have been ruled a loose carry and knock on, however, i don't think he grounded it correctly anyway, it looked like he didn't know the ball was there and so for me, he didn't ground the ball,
the others were all spot on for me, you just can't push players in the back these days, however minimal, i don't agree with it but that's how it is.

if he is certain a try has been scored then give it!

hmm Dom Manfredi pushed Murphy with a left and then a right hand in the run up to the Bateman penalty try.......


Maybe Wire were harshly done to after all.....??? unless you think tonight it should have been a penalty to Huddersfield....

They got it right last night like they got it wrong last week.

It is not a non-contact situation. You can touch other players and not be interfering with them and it be play on. The second Atkins one on Makinson last week was fine and should have been a try, last night's was fine and was right to end up in play on and a try.
