Just looked at the table this morning and each day the possibilities are becoming clearer

Bottom 4
- Wakefield cannot overtake up
- Salford have to win all their games
- Widnes need to win 3 more games than we do and have left
- Hull need to win two more games than us and overcome a 60 points deficit or win 3 more than us and have 4 left.


Top 4
We cannot catch Leeds
We can catch saints and Wigan if we win all our games and Saints or Wigan lose all theirs
We need to win 2 games more than Huddersfield do. That means in my opinion that we need to win all our games and hope they lose 3 out of 4. (Their points difference is much bigger)

So unless we collapse – it looks like 5th , 6th or 7th. My guess is 6th!!

I have been worried about the 8 but I said for a while we'd be 6th at the split, as over the course of the season so far we've been mediocre and mid table will be about right.

Assuming we finish in the top 8 ,all league points are kept so that would be another obstacle to overcome to make the top 4 for a final push for Old Trafford. There is every chance that, if we can build a winning mentality with the available bodies , we may even get eventually into the top 4. Most of our opponents are not so hot either this season & a good ,respectable finish is still possible.

We need to win 2 games more than Huddersfield do, but as long as we make the 8 we have more than 4 games to do so. 4th to 9th is so tight that if we can get a bit of end of season form we have every chance.

Prior to Thursdays game I thought we would get 2 points from our remaining fixtures and I didn't think they would come from Wakefield away. ...

I'm a bit more upbeat now mainly due to Brad Dwyers form, ( and also Saints being ordinary) but wakey will be a big test. .. We can not go to cas away needing two points to make the top 8.

We know the level of intensity required to win games after Thursdays match ,if we repeat that in remaining games we will win them all ,whether we can keep it up is another matter

We've played better all season when we've had short turn around. That is a fact.
