When we've had a 4 day turnaround, we have played 1; lost 1 (Castleford)
When we've had a 5 day turnaround, we have played 6; won 4 (Leeds, Wakey, Catalans, Wigan); Lost 2 (Wigan, Hull KR)
When we've had a 6 day turnaround, we have played 3; won 1 (Hull); lost 3 (Saints, Widnes)
When we've had a 7 day turnaround, we have played 2; won 1 (Salford); lost 1 (Hull)
When we've had a 8 day turnaround, we have played 3; won 2 (Hull KR, Leeds); lost 1 (Hudds)
When we've had a 9 day turnaround, we have played 3; won 1 (Widnes); lost 2 (Saints, Hudds)

Played more games with a 5 day turnaround, winning 4 of 6, though one of them was an 80-0 win against a woeful Wakefield side. Our only game with the shortest turnaround of 4 days, we lost to Castleford.

Yeah, you're right duckie, we were absolutely brilliant at Easter...

Anyway, I think the ten day break will benefit us before Wakefield which is a game we really should expect to win. The only problem will be the four day turn around between that game and Saints at home. This is where what Smith said about playing on Friday rather than Sunday really does become valid. However, even if Wires do start playing our home games on a Friday as a matter of routine, we'd still be playing Sunday-Thursday next week because Wakefield is away.

If Thursday night TV games are here to stay then the RFL should be regulating it to ensure any team playing on the Thursday must play on the Friday or Saturday the week before. It seems ludicrous that we've got a long gap before Wakefield and another after Saints but those two games are so close together. I can't see us winning them both, so on the grounds that Saints at home could well be a defeat even if we put everything into it, I'd be inclined to put full focus on Wakefield then just cross fingers and hope for the best V Saints to be honest.

Thats exactly what is in the "player welfare guidelines". Just a shame they dont give them a bit more teeth and make them a fixed rule.

During Easter break our series of turn around was the same as the opposition. All short! What disadvantage did we receive that our opposition hadn't?

Or perhaps I'm wrong and you did think?

Unfortunately,with sky dictating the fixtures to fit in with their tv schedules what player welfare rules are likely to be adhered to.
When sky say "jump" ,the RFL say "how high?"
