We're the lowest finishing winners in the SL era, the previous 'worst' being Sheffield who finished 8th in 1998.

Cas won the cup in 86 and finished 11th out of 16; Featherstone won it in 83 and finished 12th of 16 (just below Warrington ).

What an absolute buffoon , there are only 2 major domestic tophies available in RL and every team will try there upmost to win either.

The Challenge cup is the most prestigious trophy in the whole of R.L. even NRL players see it as a major honour to play in a Challenge Cup final...

I take it you listen to the commentary team on Sky who constantly talk up the playoffs and give little credit to the most historic trophy in R.L. ....

Or you support an team who got knocked out straight away..Thats it Leeds....

That is the way Leeds fans have consoled themselves for the past decade or however long its been.

The truth is that Leeds targeted the Challenge Cup throughout the off season and in the build up to the Super League season. Sinfield said it, McLemon said it, Senior said it, Hetherington said it. They lost first round.
