What happens to the rest of the teams? It's shrinking the game further.

Probably cos that'll be a 38 week competition plus challenge cup, plus play offs, we'll be starting the next season before we've finished the first one.

They used to play 34 games in the 60s. Plus Lancs Cup + BBC 2 floodlit trophy + Challenge Cup & playoffs .....And they were part-time.

He never said anything about playing everyone twice.
A 20 team league is ok with me.

As the various leagues currently stand Catalan dragons would be in the second tier. Leigh and Bradford would be in The third tier. ..

The second tier which isn't that good is also going to be called super league and the top tier which is the best is also called superleague.

Its so positively insane and is the only option worse than the super 8's that it has got to be already signed and agreed....

Cumbria. ...Cumbria what clown thinks that will work. ..don't tell me....koukash

Why not get all the teams in one big league as in days of old & have the champions as whoever finishes top then it rewards consistency throughout the season?

When there were all the teams in one league, the champions were not the team who finished top, as teams didn't play each other home and away. That was the excuse they used for the champions being decided by the play offs. We now play each other home and away, so we could call the team that finished top of the league the "champions", but that would be far too sensible for the morons at the RFL.
If the new structure, as described above, is adopted, it would be even more stupid than the current fiasco. It will probably be adopted.
