He's not got darts, boxing or snooker onto the bbc sports home page ;-)

And that’s because he does most is deals with Sky the better paymasters of the 2, yes most the snooker is on BBC but they probably don’t like them or that he works more with Sky.

But he has got darts onto ITV4 virtually every week, and likewise snooker , on any channel that'll have it. They may be back water channels, but it's constant exposure. There's boxing appearing more and more on mainstream TV. A decade ago and less, there was NONE.
Hearn is a mover and a shaker. We need him quickly, otherwise, RL will become even more of an irrelevance to the general public, let alone web editors.

His dad got the whole of the country OBSESSED with snooker in the mid to late 80's.
Young Hearn got the extra publicity for darts a few weeks back, with the walk on girls "controversy's. No such thing as bad publicity.

Yep I'm all for Hearn involvement. Pro RL is on it's booty in the UK and needs something drastic. I'm not sure where else the sport gets its money other than Sky though.

What we may see is something like the BBC2 Floodlit trophy (or modern day equivalent). A competition designed for evening viewing on a dedicated channel which Hearn can market separately to SL. Maybe the top 16 teams in pro UK RL. But then we would have all the bleating about fixture congestion

The thought of Chris Hill in a primrose & blue mohican style skull cap & primrose & blue mankini getting down & dirty with the opposition forwards fills me with dread.

Ref I was trying to get off him but he grabbed me by the mankini...
Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

People slated Koukash and his outspoken ways but i bet he was mentioned more last year than any single rugby league team on sky sports news and the sport did nothing to capitalize on it. It's about publicity, but i fear we're battling against people who just dont get it. Their love of the sport masks the fact that we need to market the hell out of it to get anywhere.

We need anyone in who doesn't see it as a sport, but see's it as a product. Hearn is a great name to be linked with, but i'd also take anyone with an ounce of marketing acumen. The recent Groves Eubank fight was a nothing fight in a made up tournament, but it was on ppv and people actually forked out cash for it.

As said previously there is no such thing as bad publicity. Anything that imprints the excitement of the game in the mind of the public has to be good. Next years Christmas must have for the kids could be a Zak Hardaker doll or a Thaler doll giving a decision Warrington's way.

Now your asking the impossible, a Thaler doll that gives us a decision, not even combined brains of Stephen Hawking and James Dyson could make that lol.
