Decent article on the changing times at the RFL and the decisions ahead. Realism on the state of the game which is in huge contrast to the RFL 2016 Annual Report (if anyone has read that).

Good read that. What stood out for me was the reference between old and new faces, that’s what we need a coat of new paint not same old same old. We need someone like Barry Hearn, what he as done for Darts, we need doing for RL.

Exactly. More ambition and imagination. We need more than a Mushy Pea add on sponsorship. We need a root and branch reform of the game to achieve a new strategy and vision.

I think there will be painful decisions to be made about what happens to the weak and ailing clubs in crumbling stadiums when we have the chance to fast track North American sides.

Here is the 2016 RFL report. Reading this everything is peachy. Only it's not.

How about Frank Maloney? He's, I mean she's an expert on change.

And would appeal to a whole new demographic not normally associated with RL crowds. This is what we mean when we say we are exploring new markets.

We could ensure Roger Draper’s new hand dryers are installed in the new ‘Lady-Gents’ toilets.
