It may be good idea to review the effectiveness of our medical team. Medical science has evolved considerably since the days of magic sponges, applying butter, rubbing it and kissing it better. Either that or they are on a tidy commission for treating players. How many more absentees through injury this year? There's only the water carrier who hasn't been on the treatment table this season

You do wonder whether someone at Saints has had a word in Tasi's ear to spend a little more time on the treatment table and less on the pitch, since all the rumours started then the actual announcement he seems to have become remarkably injury prone - or is that too cynical?

Players often play with pain killing cortisone injections if further physical activity isn't going to make an injury any worse. Perhaps this is something players from other clubs are more committed to doing? I suppose it's easier to do when you are winning rather than losing every week.
