A question for those in the know.

1, How many loan players are a club allowed in one season?????

2. How many loan players have we/ Salford already had in this season on loan???

3. How many loan players are you allowed to have in the team on match day????

I know there are rules and regs in the round ball game, but i have never heard of any in the Rugby League, or is it the case, the RFL have never thought of this???? I would poss think the latter knowing the RFL.

You do the rfl a misjustice - it's very easy to look up such things: http://www.therfl.co.uk/the-rfl/rules/i ... onal_rules C1:2:10 LIMIT ON NUMBERS A Club shall not include in any 19 man Match Squad nor play in any Match: more than five Players who are on loan to it and/or dual registered to it (irrespective of which Club they are registered with); and More than 4 Players who are dual registered to it I believe the current policy, which isn't in the rules, is to refuse registration after 5 to stop the the described situation happening.

So what you are saying and what is wrote in the rules???

Is a team can only have 5 on loan players in the team on match day??? no problem with that.

And only 5 on loan players through out the season????

If that is so, I think we/Salford have already have had 5 loan players this season, I of course could be wrong, but if the rules and what you are saying are correct, we can have no more players on loan at Salford for the rest of the season. Is that correct.

The wording on the RFL rules and regs across the board are gobble de gook, and are not written in plain ENGLISH.

The rules are written in an unambiguous manner - but the quote is what is actually written in the rules -

There is no ruling on numbers over a season. The only stipulation is how many loans you have at any one time (more specifically in the 19 man squad) - so if Salford don't have 5 players currently on loan, more can be brought in (in conjunction with the rest of the cap of course - which I imagine will be the bigger issue)

Anyone know the rules relating to volenteer players? Do you have to be registered with the RFL?

Trialists can be registered with the club and receive expenses. So it’s doable.
