If it keeps him,and us, in the news than that's fine by me.
Daft idea though.
The Aussies don't need it,so it won't happen.
The World Club Championship is a half way house to this idea and that'll be as far as it goes

No harm in thinking big but can't see the Aussie clubs signing up to come over a week at a time
Now an extended nines comp on tour for a few months could be a different matter......

It may well be a "daft" idea but the good Doctor does get people talking. Perhaps,if it went ahead, we could all play to the same rules!
If it went ahead, we could call the team UK Lions and a squad be selected from the previous year's Super League. It would have to be shown on BT Sport so that SKY keeps Super League.

If you check out RL reports from pre Xmas a Canadian bid is seriously being considered by the RL for inclusion in the Championship so it's not a new innovation.
In fairness a SL side would stand a better chance of success in the NRL as the players are all full time anyway whereas in the Championship players jobs need to be taken into consideration.

This isn't a stupid idea. It's a bloody good one. Maybe his best so far. There will be plenty of people against it especially in Aus. This could really work.

Who is going to subsidise the NRL for the expense of shipping a team over to the UK every fortnight ? They say that there is very little difference between genius and madness - perhaps he has just crossed the border.
