Just a thought with the renegotiation of the rental terms would that be something he would have had a direct hand in? maybe he's been found wanting for the contract he agreed to?
Again, he can't be
replaced as such, because it's the
role that's made redundant, not the person.
The only possible exception to this (and I'm not entirely sure) is if he
volunteered to be made redundant and the company agreed. In this case, he can be replaced by someone else
from within the company whose role would otherwise have been made redundant.
At least that's how it was explained to me when I left wage slavery behind earlier this year.
