JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

France is a great idea. But there must be a Super League club in Toulouse, and another team from Avignon at least in the Championship if not in Super League, for the French plan to work. That is because you must have a large number of committed rugby league fans at the locations where the World Cup games are to be held.

Some big games -- e.g. France vs Australia, or New Zealand or England -- could be held at a big stadium in Paris.
Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2021!

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

Having Toulouse in SL and Avignon in The Championship will do little to boost attendance numbers at a world cup in France.
As a start, assuming that it could be agreed, it would be better to split the venues between England and France, which would lift the profile of the game in France but, not massively affect logistics etc.

With RL still being a fringe sport, we need to entice non RL fans to the games and right now, France's issues go far, far deeper than not having a second French SL side.

FWIW, I'd still rather see Toulouse in SL than Toronto though.

Australia. No point having it in NZ as there is less interest in the game of rugby league in that country than there is in the UK
Tommy Makinson - Golden Boot Winner 2018

Tom Johnstone - Superleague fan site winger of the year as voted for by Wakefield fans

Hosting it in France, but all of England's group games in London would be a bold move but good for expansion.

Yes, I'd go with that.

If some of the higher profile games were in Paris, that could be a major draw for the less committed RL fan as well.

Also, if the Catalan v Wigan game in Barcelona is a big hit, this also would be a great venue for RL, which would tap into the passive round ball fans that follow our sport.

I'd love to see a major international in the Nou Camp
