£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

It’s the right thing for Toronto. Rowley could get Toronto promoted but he isn’t the coach to then sustainably keep them in SL and progress them from bottom of the league to mid-table and onwards.

Hard to argue against Briam McDermott.

Available and has the trophies under his belt.

Strange that they added 6 players at the end of the season and then "parted ways" with the coach who must have chosen them, before he's had a chance to play them? It smacks of Argyle not being happy with the bridesmaid tag in 2018...Toronto should stroll the Championship in 2019.
...in terms of Mac. He inherited a team that would have won the Grand finals in 2011 and 2012 no matter who was coaching them and 8 or 9 of them were still there in 2015.....he's a great motivator, but I am till not convinced of his coaching ability.

Brian Noble made the signings and is still at the club. Rowley was always a temporary coach.

I think Tony Smith should get the job.

Because he’s a championship level coach

Good news. Now Toronto has to find a formerly successful Super League coach to take over. Brian McDermott seems to fit the bill. However Anthony Smith, formerly of Warrington Wolves, would not be a bad choice. Either should ensure a rise to Super League at the end of next season.
