Broncos Defeat Fax To Guarantee Million Pound Game

With Halifax already out of the running for promotion to Super League, their task was to try and deny London Broncos the result which would guarantee them a place in the Million Pound Game next weekend.
A loss by less than twenty-five points would be enough to see them finish fifth, and be the away side in the play-off, but a win of sixteen or more would put them into fourth spot and have them praying for a Widnes Vikings victory over Hull KR on Sunday afternoon to give them the home advantage.
Danny Ward had his troops well drilled for the game and intended to increase Halifax’s Qualifiers misery by keeping them winless in seven.

Good game to watch. But London cannot play like that v Hull KR, or that team based in Canada...and expect to win.

And another serious knee injury on an artificial pitch, coincidence probably but no give in the surface can’t help...

To be fair London have had very few injuries this year.

Ain't it funny when a team that expects to win easily has it tough and then says that they were "poor". Give some credit to Fax, it was a pretty even game over the 80. Well done to London for the win, but you played "badly" 'cos Fax made it so.

Fax were excellent. Defence was tremendous. It was Fax that contributed to Broncos poor performance. If we had marked Murrell like you marked Sammut it would have been easier thats for sure.

I've said on another thread that I couldn't make it (and been soundly berated for it) due to other commitments, albeit a good number of other Fax fans did seem to make make the trip down south. I had to watch it about an hour after "real" time, but enjoyed it nevertheless. Sammut was the difference between the teams.

Fax have beat London at at the shay and only just lost in the away game. To say London were poor is an insult. Had that been at the shay fax would of probably won.
