The Bulls's slide was almost unavoidable for a while before it happened due to their financial implosion. If we (Leeds) go down it will be entirely due to poor management of the playing side - coaching and recruitement.
I don't think SL would get rigged for next season to keep us in, but I suspect the loss of Leeds for a year would cause a rethink, especially if we didn't look like bouncing straight back up. IMO we're not a big enough sport to lose one of the genuinely big sides - losing Bradford hurt SL, losing Leeds would be a huge blow for the game as a whole.
"Losing" Leeds? They'd still be in the competition, just 1 league below the top table. It won't happen though.

Rubbish Leigh beat London 40-0 this season, one of 3 wins out of 3 v them. On tonight's evidence unless they win at Salford next week, Widnes won't even make the MPG. Well done London...
enjoy the shield final should you make it.....

Nice to see your 23 travelling fans enjoy the win. PATHETIC EFFORT.
Read my signature Einstein........no doubt you'll bring more when you meet them next year n the championship, but the reality is that 23 or 24 fans....it make little difference the income of a fully pro club like leigh.......oh, hang on.......an ex-pro team like Leigh

JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
I can see widnes losing every game if they do not improve. Be good this week if Toulouse beat Leeds and Fax beat Torronto. Them in Red all will be cr@pping themselves
I agree. I thought they'd fade but they kept sticking with it.
I had the same thought; I enjoyed them going toe to toe, but expected London to fade in the second half. Really impressive performance though - very worthy winners.
I thought it was a really negative decision from Widnes to go for the two points when they were 6-4 ahead. They should have gone for the jugular there IMO. Well done to London. I can see them travelling to Salford in the MPG now with Widnes relegated at 6th.

London are now in with a real chance of promotion along with Toulouse and Toronto.
What a fantastic competition the Super 8’s are, why would anyone want to scrap it?
Keep it, scrap the idea of a £1m game and just go with top 4 of the qualifying 8's get into SL. It cannot them be labelled as pinning an entire season on one game and there is the possibility of 4 teams being promoted / relegated
