He'll should apologise after he watches the game back - we struggle to attract referees to our game we don't need petulant coaches calling them out all the time, referees make mistakes, ironically the only real mistake he made was to award a try to was when it wasn't.

Get a grip man, everything he said was true, our defence was pretty much non existent and people on here have been banging on about the standard of refereeing all season.

The coaches have more responsibility than some supporters on a forum, The ref wasn't bad last night apart from awarding cat a try which wasn't, DP has a habit f blaming the ref when they lose, he did it recently against Hull, its a bad attitude to have.

The dummy spat was not a good advert for the game, he probably regrets it this morning. Every player, coach and fan know the lack of consistency with officials, to try and cast the blame on refs is poor. Cas had injuries and saints scored 8 tries, can't blame the ref for that.

The standard of reffing and more so the video ref has been poor this year but last night was not a bad example. I think Powell is off mark there.

I'd also say that coaches who coach their teams to celebrate a try when they know it wasn't, or flap around on the floor when an opponent has a finger on them trying to con the ref for a penalty, or laying on to try and slow the ball down, should not then complain about the ref actually taking their con.
It's a fast game, with one guy in the middle trying to sift through all the antics to find a real decision. Leave them to do their job.

I wonder what would happen if Kendall came out and said if thought Cas were poor last night and that their coaching was substandard?

That's not a bad idea PT - "Mr Kendall - what did you think of tonight's game?" "Well, I'm pretty happy with my performance. I thought the players were disrespectful and milking penalties all over the shop; and that McShane's a dirty get isn't he?"

On Powell - he made 2 statements that were true; Cas can't defend and Saints were great. The final aside about the referee was childish and unnecessary - he let himself down there.

I thought the ref had a good game as a nuteral, (I probably would have thought differently with my Red spectacles on however) his only blunder was awarding Cas a try for a clear dropped ball.

I can only asssume Powell and the Cas fans view on the ref started with Ben Barba's perfect try, I'm sure most have changed their view on this now including the bloke in the crowd who was waving his no try arms frantically.

Wonder if DP's outburst on sky will include a visit to the RFL to hand over some pennies ?
