Massive blow, not just for Saints, but also England as he, along with Sam Burgess are the only 2 world class english players

Good luck to the lad for a quick and full recovery.
Agree with other posters that stepping back onto the field would be a huge step after that but, let's hope the lad can get back to playing RL.

To be honest I don't think it's any worse psychologically than a lot of injuries. Anyone having a bad break or dislocation probably endures more pain over a prolonged period. They all have to get back on the bike.

Give me the choice of a broken leg, dislocated elbow (i've had that, not pleasant) and a bone fracture in my neck/spine, and tell me i'll 100% recover from either with no complications, id' still chose the broken leg or dislocated elbow over ANYTHING related to my spinal cord.



This was one of them fairly inoccuous incidents as well, i did wonder at the time when he went down it looked a bit unusual, he didn't really hit mitch brown's shoulder too much, it really is a game of inches
