Though there is an Aussie section on RLFans it seems to have seen its last use in 2015 so i thought i would create a thread to talk about the games, results, player performances etc. Could also include a few bits on fantasy scores if anyone is playing the NRL Fantasy league.

First up St George v Brisbane. Seems like a comfortable win for the dragons with ben hunt and widdop to the fore, i can see them doing pretty well this year if they keep their halves and main forwards fit (graham, vaughan, de belin). would expect them to finish somewhere between 5th and 8th. widdop again could be one of the players of the season especially with a gun half alongside him. brisbane however - oh dear. they seem to be operating without direction, poor halves and players who want to play in different positions (oates, thaiday), square pegs in round holes springs to mind. they'll do well to make the 9 in what is one of the most competitive years for some time. bennett will no doubt get them playing his usual brand of rugby but they didn't do too well last year and are definately weaker this time out.

anyone watch the game and can add to this

i know it is but i feel the broncos are undergunned this year. as you say we'll know better after a few games.

looking forward to parramatta v penrith derby, and to see how the new look roosters go this round

This kind of fits in with this thread.
I find it so annoying the the sky super league commentators keep mentioning the result of the game that is televised in the mornings.
They did this last year when the games were on premier sports.
Most people work in a morning so like myself record the game and watch it latter.
They must have mentioned today's result between St George and Brisbane 4 or 5 times.
Does anyone else find this annoying.
I can't watch the build up to the super league game because it keeps coming up and the bottom of the screen and it does the same at half time so usually turn over till it kicks off again.
At least with the news before match of the day they tell you to look away before they show the scores.

was a good game wasn't it. great start for wests tigers too with corey thompson starring for them, great news for any fantasy players who have him as one of their cheapies

New Zealand Warriors were terrific, and Shaun Johnson showed his brilliant abilities for them. Those who wrote off the Warriors have been judging them on last few years' form. But the new recruits, especially Blake Green and several of the forwards, have turned things around. Based on yesterday's performance I expect the NZ Warriors to be in the playoffs and knocking on the door of the top 4.

Possible multi-accounts as well (given the unnervingly supportive views of each), but that's one for the mods to sort out. In the mean-time, Fax had a great win today, and life looks just a little better!

The Warriors should always be in the top 8 minimum but honestly you just don't know what you get with them.

Winning away first game is a great sign and hopefully it continues but not getting too excited as the Warriors have let me down too many times.
