Why do this lot always think they are going to be Super League champions? They've not been champions since the 1950s!

Year after year we always hear from their fans how it's always going to be the 'year of the wolf' regarding Dire winning the Grand Final and it never is. A garbage 0% win ratio in their three GF's so where do they get their confidence from?

Take this season for example. Pre-season, most of their fans were tipping them for great things after appointing their new Aussie coach but after two early defeats it was 'bring back Tony Smith and get this Gail Platt lookalike out', then a win against a poor Widnes side and a jet-lagged Pie team and suddenly they are a shoo-in to be lifting the big prize come October!!

'Fatbelly' on their forum finishes off a recent thread he started with the words 'trophies are coming'. Really? 'Always your year' and all that I suppose.

This certainly won't be your year. Time Wire fans to get real.

You know they have Coronation Street in Chorley, why don't you get your other half Lebron to tell you ??? after all it's all in the same head.

I think previous optimism from Wolves fans comes from the fact Tony Smith initially built a great team and culture at Warrington, and took them from a mid table side to title contenders, reaching grand finals etc however just could not take them to that next level the wire fans were hoping/expecting them to and eventually things went stale.

This year they have signed some great players in BMM Roberts and Goodwin and we all know there squad is capable with the talent they have to be up there. For what ever reason they have not been performing up to expectation.
