Yes, it is always sad when a young man loses his way to the point where he behaves like this. It doesn't matter who it is they are still our family or friend or neighbours. It is still sad and I will still say a prayer for him, his family and his future.

Never mind the staff or members of the general public who had to endure it, no let's have some sympathy for the machete wielding maniac.

I meant sad that someone had stooped so low after having a successful RL career. It’s also sad if someone who hasn’t had a successful career stoops so low.

He's very lucky he only got 4 and will be out in two and half if he's a good boy inside

Should have just ram-raided the store then claimed sun was in his eyes, judges and jurists always fall for that pony!.
Deserves no sympathy, the victims could be having nightmares/flashbacks for years thinking someone might kill them.
Hope he meets a swift and unforunate end as well as his accomplice and save the tax payer some money and others not having to fear what this scum will stoop too.

It's not sad and the only prayer that should be said is for the victims. He should have got ten years.

As a ex RL player the pity should be less not more. He had a charmed life and a privlidged one and that's how he repays people - it's pathetic.

It is sad. But it’s the way he’s lost his way in life and become an armed robber that’s sad; not the scentencing!
