Aussie RU seems as bad as it's ever been, I'd try and sign a few of their players to try and weaken them further. Cooper, Foley and obviously Falou should be targeted.

Cooper's been dumped because his play is so erratic as to be a liability, and his defence has always been shocking. It would be a bit of a PR coup, particularly in SL, but his name isn't the drawcard it was five years ago - he's basically been rubbish for most of that time. I expect in the end a Japanese or French RU contract awaits. The only way an NRL side would give him a go is on a low-cost contract.

Cooper had his chance, the offeres were all there 5 years ago, now he is past it and he will end up in French RU no doubt.

Super League clubs should not be chasing names who have no substance behind them, such as Quade Cooper.

A much better idea is to recruit PNG players, as Castleford has done with Garry Lo and Catalans with David Mead.

The PNG Albert brothers -- Wellington and Stanton -- would be a wise investment for a Super League club. They would not be expensive, and should come as a pair (as happened with Penrith a couple of years ago).

Strong rumour in Hull that Wellington is a target of ours for 2019 via Doncaster who is our duel reg club

It's worse than that, he could well be destined for the worst of the Welsh RU regions.
