Good stuff. Before the world cup his the states we need to take either some international tests or WCC game.

Playing NZ four times in one year seems bit of an overkill though.

I think if we are to be playing in the US, it needs to be either them or Australia. I don't think playing Tonga or Fiji would have as big an impact, if there's any at all.

Does anyone know if there is a rugby league team or community in Denver, or is it just a random city they've used?
Rugby is like a hard game of chess!

From their Linked in Page....

• The Denver Wolverines RLFC is an amateur club playing the League code of rugby.
• We are Denver's first and only Rugby League team
• We are recognized by the USA Rugby League as a “developmental” club. Once we achieve the
standards set out by the USARL, we will be eligible to join the top-tier semi-professional
competition as a full-rights member, pending league approval.
• Other developmental clubs in our region include the Utah Avalanche, Las Vegas Blackjacks,
Dallas Rugby League, the Orange County Outlaws, and Seattle Force. Our “division” will most
likely be Denver, Utah, Las Vegas.
We ARE NOT a member of USA Rugby, and we are not governed by USA Rugby or any of
their regional governing bodies. We are considering registering in 2012 with USA Rugby and
operating as a dual-code club in the future.
• Anyone 18-up is eligible to become a Denver Wolverine, regardless of experience. It is our goal
to establish, promote, and teach the League code throughout the region. We will field a
competitive squad and a social side. In 2011 our main focus is team-building and teaching of
the League code. We can grow from here.
• Practice sessions are open to any member of the club competitive or social.
• Only members who have paid their dues will be eligible to play in games.

Thy refer to 2012, so I am not sure if they exist now. Their website is down and their facebook page is a "ghost".....
Jeff Eberle was the main mover and shaker back in 2010...he played for the USA IIRC back in 1995.

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Wakefield is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

Denver would be a dreadful choice for a rugby league Test match in 2018. There is no rugby league and no organisation there to promote it. If it is to be held in North America, then Toronto should be first choice, followed by Jacksonville, and perhaps New York or Philadelphia.
Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2019!

Avignon for Championship in 2020, Super League in 2021!
